Born and raised in New Orleans, my outlook on life and work is both eclectic and passionate, much like my city. Through international travel, my desire to contribute to the global community has grown exponentially. I welcome new challenges and I thrive off working in groups to come up with creative solutions.
After a college summer internship on Capitol Hill, I caught the DC bug and moved there three weeks after graduating from the University of Georgia in May 2011. During my 2.5 year stint in DC, I worked at prominent public affairs firms Burson-Marsteller and The Glover Park Group. In fall 2013, I moved home to New Orleans to pursue a Project Management position with Zehnder Communications. After five months in this role, I was recruited into the Account Service team in March 2014. As an Account Coordinator I was able to hone my strategy and writing skills, while building relationships with banking, health care and lifestyle clients; an ideal role for me since I weirdly don’t hate small talk.
In January 2016, I started working at a New Orleans-based creative agency, Hop & Jaunt, that specializes in branding and marketing for startups. As an Project Manager, my responsibilities are vast in that I not only manage client relationships and keep internal projects moving, but I draft proposals, craft strategic marketing and launch plans, compose blogs posts, web copy, e-newsletters, as well as strategize, design and build WordPress websites.
While working remotely during the day for Hop & Jaunt, this past June I had the opportunity to work as as a Social Media Manager for Copa America Centenario in Chicago. In this tactical role, I live Tweeted games, drafted and scheduled Facebook and Instagram posts, monitored fan and celebrity engagement and the optimized using analytics for the English channels. Through this opportunity I honed my writing and stress-management skills, while also falling in love with Summertime Chi.
I am a creative, independent thinker with a proven record of simultaneously juggling several projects with internal teams and clients and driving them to completion. I tend to think strategically and am naturally curious with the ability to seamlessly switch throughout the day from thinking big to small. I have an eye for design and detail; I’m organized but not type A. One of my best qualities is my ability to connect with every person I meet. If you’d like to chat, feel free to contact me any time.
